the reason i am confused is the standard setup is -1mm for front and rear, but the manual doesnt show this

the manual only asks for one caster clip to be installed. if i understand correctly, -1mm would mean 1mm clip on one end???

Hi,

I am having some trouble with the gearbox on the 733.

I've put the screws in the 2nd gear shoe 4.5 turns out, but the car does not go into 2nd gear when I accelerate. At least it doesn't seem like it, I think I would be able to hear when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear.

How many turns out do you have the 2 screws in the 2nd gear shoe?
Any hints and tips will be much appreciated

Thanks.

yes 1 mm spacer in front of front arm and 2mm spacer behind rear arm

Turn the screws 1 full turn counter clockwise. This will loosen the shoes and make it shift earlier. Other factors like engine tune will have an affect on when it shifts also.

You should put a 1mm clip in front and behind the front lower arms

what's everyone running at the front? spool or diff?

what was most popular at the worlds? it seems the diff is more popular, and everyone is going back to using the diff these days.

The 733 has only been out for about a year so I'd say it has lots of time left. As far as engines, I'd say pick any of the current Novarossi's that's in your budget.

The 733 is just over a year old so its going to be around for quite a while. Serpent doesn't change cars every other season like Kyosho.

As for engines, most people run Novarossi so that is a safe bet. However I run a Picco Evo4 only because I like the way their motors work for me.

i have just bought a RBT10rc and it is nuts. i have run novas in the past (3sct tuned) and compared to this RB those novas had nothing on the RB, but i have got no idea about the new novas, from what i see at the track they are really fast as well but it also comes down to gearing. but usually anything that is based on the novas, (RB is based on novas as well as JP i think) usually last, just dont run it to lean and make sure u use after run oil and any engine will last

+1 733.

I just picked up a 733 and the thing is so easy to take apart and work with

heaps of carbon fibre & alumnium. aluminium bulkheads, front wire arb, and the way the things are layed out is nice.

$600 might be out of my range. What's it mean when a engine is flashed?
