Cool Problem with Mamba MAx ESC Please Help & Thanks

I am newbie here. Does some pro help me with this problem? I have a mamba Max with 7700Kv motor. I try the difference pinion gear from 18-26 with 75 teeth spur gear but the ESC still getting hot (around 150-190 degree) if keep play about 15min the Esc will stop running. After cool down will work fine. Is it normal on mamba? Do I need to get a fan for it? Thanks who reply my question.

Cool

What happen if I put a bigger spur gear? Will this help. Does anyone explain why Xray make such as large spur gear? Like 112-118 gear what is the advantage of large spur gear. Thanks

P.S higher gear ratio means.................... Lower SPEED

put on a higher tooth count spurgear...and gear down...the 7700 geared right should sstill yeild 60 mph speeds on 2s lipo.. and it wont thermal..

once you gear too high..your batteries drop voltage and you dont go as fast.. also you heat everything up. whichis whats happening... get a bigger spur.. about 6 teeth if you can. and then try small pinions and work your way up....
