This is off jaco's website. Hope it helps. Ths only way to tell for sure what the shore rating is, is with a durometer.

Tyre Shore Front information
On road R/C racing tyres are rated by hardness or "shore". A softer front tyre normally gives more steering. However, softer front tyres wear faster than harder tyres (this is important to remember with a 4WD car for long races because front tyre diameter has an impact on performance and handeling). Generally, it is better to use harder front tyres (30 shore or harder) and find a chassis setup (shocks, anti-roll bars etc.) that makes the car easier to drive, rather than generate more grip using softer tyres.
