Opphs... Crashed_1 would probably be elated to hear this ! I hear he's a big KO fan now.

I hope I could get this business venture to make enough money to stop working.
I'm hoping it does well enough to open my own track.

Oh Harry, you're fighting an unworthy cause. Get a life trying to convince people that Serpent is made in China ! Get back to your own threads or if not at least post something useful here.
Besides, you never know that the 100 odd cars you own (including NTC3 and R40) are made in the good old China (whatever that means).

They had a full size version of the Savage (real truck) at RCX.
At their booth, they had like 3 Savages, and only 1 R40 on display.
My cousin is getting frustrated at HPI's lack of support as is thinking of buying a 710 or 950R off of me when I get my Serpent order.

A new version might be out in places other than the US.
I'm just relaying what the Hudy guy told me.
The guy from Hudy told me that they're re-tooling the setup tool to fit more of the cars that are out.

As for this Sunday, I'll still be at the RCX show.

Setting throttle max travel.
I decided to set my max throttle travel, by watching the throttle slider inside the carb. I adjusted its position (holding the throttle trigger fully depresed) until the throttle slider was no longer visible whilst looking into the carb.
Does this method set the max travel accurately, i.e. give max possible throttle?
Cheers, Mark.

The newer one has light coat of silver (all I had)and than white.
Hey Mark, yours looks white, I thought it was silver
By the way, its nice to see some really very good paint jobs in these last pages!! Keep it up fellas

The silver one is on my Tamiya EVO III - a test run for the new colour scheme
I found that silver is quite a heavy paint, though and so this timeI thought I would try white instead. It does indeed make a weight saving: the bigger 200mm body weighs two grams less than the silver painted 190mm - proportionally a very big weight saving
But I'm not too keen on the white and next time I'll probably try grey or paint the rear section sky blue, in keeping with the Dutch national colours.
Cheers, Mark.
