1. The 835 front dogbones fit all round

2. The shock shafts are all the same size throughout serpent's current cars. With the front shafts shorter than the rear. So yes the 8th scale shafts will fit.

3. I have seen Titanium pivot balls on Ebay.

4. Try the shop you got the 710 from.

5. The front springsteel outdrives from the 705/835 fit with a little trimming. The front spring steel axles from the 705 will fit all round.

thanks a lot for the quick response.
i do have some questions though.

1. this one is ok...

2. so the 950 front and rear is what i need for the shock shaft? are they the same material or stronger?

3. this one is ok...

4. ive tried the shop i got my 710 from... no luck. any other places to get a rear shock tower??

5. did you mean the 835 needs a little trimming and the 705 is ok? i mean, do the 705 spring steel axles fit with no modification?

thanks again in advance.

To be specific, the 950/R, the 835 and the 705 shares the same identical shocks as the 710. So that is why they will fit !

Just a word of caution. You need to get the keyed type shock shafts (909442 for front and 909444 for rear). Not the older threaded ones (although they are identical lengths to the front and for the rear of the 710) as they are for the Serpent older cars (Impulse Streetspec, Impact and the Vector).

Be careful if you come across the titanium pivot balls for the 705 as they may be slightly longer. Besides, Julius mentioned that titanium pivot balls will cause glass filled plastics to wear faster.

4. No idea.. you could look at a few of the online stores.

5. I'm 99% sure they are the same item. They are too long ane need to be shortened. I mentioned them as 835 parts as thets what I have them for. I've never had a serpent 200mm before the 710.

As I mentioned, there are only 909442 (front) and 909444 (rear) shock shaft part numbers for 950, 835, 705 and 710 !

I think you are confused here... sparsky mentioned that the 835 dogbones (they are only available in Hudy spring steel) will fit fine on the 710. The 705 dogbones (whether spring steel or not) will not fit.

The one way outdrive of the 705/835 (or even the XRay or the Mugen one) will fit on the 710. This includes the lightened one way outdrive for the Impact which will fit nicely on the 710.

HOWEVER, when you do this on the 710, you will not have the ability to lock the one way unit to make it into a solid axle front.

The front wheel axles of the 705 (also the same as the Impulse Streetspec / PRO) will fit the 710 all around as it is the same part. The 801215 is normal steel while the 801214 is the Hudy spring steel one.

Hope that is clear.

Actually they can, they just don't want to look into doing it.

Also, Unc Aw, Yok folks and Shariman's systems are the latest ones that directly support personal transponders.

They carry Murnan modified engines. On their site, they only have the modified Mugen MT12 listed. I'm sure Lee could get other ones. I'm just not sure if he ships to other countries.
Chris, thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

My point exactly

That must be the new system they used for the recent electric race right? Maybe it was run using Yok's system.
