Centax 2 nut keeps coming loose
The spring tention nut on my Centax 2 clutch comes loose during the mains (any longer than 5 minutes) how do you keep constant tension on this nut for an entire 30 minute main.Locktight? if so what kind and how much?

Over time the nut might develope some slop. You can get a new nut or you can apply a small amount of threadlock, but dont overdo it.

If you decide to use locktight I recommend the blue stuff. I would not apply the locktite wet. What you want to do is apply a small amount of locktite to the threads of the flywheel nut and then let is dry totally. Then assemble the spring with the spring nut. The dried locktite should offer just enough drag on the nut so it won't back off. Another thing to check for is burrs on the spring nut. Also if your clutch is allowed to overheat(Hot Hot) this also would cause your nut to back off.

also check the nut isn't rubbing the bell, no burrs etc.

Be sure the nut has no damaged edges sticking out, they could be grabbed by the hole of the clutchbell, just grind the edges.
