I used Jaco nitro shoes. 30mm 40 shore rear and 26mm45 shore fronts. The were excellent. Gr8 wear.
How many tanks are you guys getting per set? I have my car set to where I get no coning front or rear but I can only get 8-10 tanks per set. I have been using TRC or SpeedMind 40-42 shore. 26mm wide. Do the 28/30mm tires last longer or just enhance handling? What is a good set of rubber tires to run? Do they wear better. The v-rages that came with the kit were junk. Thanks

Nice car, but with all the time and money you spent on the parts, it's a little dirty for pictures! Oh well.

Anyhoo, just hope nobody hits you in the switch, because if they do that could be very bad times for you. I can already see what happens, they hit you in the switch, it turns your car off as well as breaks the switch, and no more racing for you unless you wanna direct hook up or you replace your switch. Very bad times...

Anyhoo, I've had luck using the TRC double purples. The grip is good on most tracks I've been on. I can probably get like 15-20 tanks off a set before they are "too small". They're still usable, but they'd be better off on a carpet sedan. Plus the TRC's look cool.

That's about right. Go to the 30 mm gas type foam (jaco/mugen/any grp/new TRCs) and it will go up to about 15 tanks on a lower wearing surface. Also using 2 30 rears to 1 26 gas front(different foam than rear) and swapping the rears every 5-10 minutes(1-2) tanks will help. 3 sets of tires for 90 minutes vs 2 sets for 60.

I had my own version of 'the fix' on mine last year and I broke...exactly 1 diff case, and I ran a lot of races last year. All year. The one I did break was on the second to last lap at a big race and I absolutely slammed a board (it was like the rc version of the offset barrier test) that was ripping the corners off 1/8 scalers with ease and although bent my car was not broken and I finished the qualifer only loosing 3 seconds because of the hit.

The best tank so far is the one made by K factory specially for the NTC3. Low profile therefore low CG. Friends running it do not have any more engine problems than they had with the old tank.

Bad thing is that the plastic is not white or clear. It is smoke black / grey. So it's very hard to tell and see if you have how much of fuel is left in the tank especially if you use a clear colourless type of fuel like Tornado.

Else, I heard that a Mugen or a Serpent tank will fit fine with some modifications.
