Hi guys! I just bought the FW05R today and its the foam tyre version. I ll start to build it tommorow. Any tips before I start? What other things should I buy to make it handle good? I thought I read somewhere about putting shims at the diff case bearing , anybody care to explain?

Cheers!

Agreed.. I've started building my kit yesterday. I'm thinking of replacing all screws for the chasis to allen titanium ones...

I think Ti screws will not be much stronger.
They strip as well.

A good screwdriver would be a better investment if you dont already have one.

True, but I'm getting Allen (Hex) screws. Especially for the engine mount... I think they are a lot longer lasting...

BTW, the build so far is going excellent.. I'm quite happy with the car already!!!

true
but it also depends on the size of the hex screws
I think that the size from SQUARE is quite small. So, I think it may strip the same as the stock screws.

Thats my guess.
Just be careful

I did the same, I hate phillips screws. I'd rather use my allen head drivers.
