Wednesday night is when the Electric guys hang out at the indoor track and practice. I went there with Art last night - anyone who remembers electric racing from years ago will be amazed at the performance of today's newer cars! Anyway, here's one photo from last night. There's a whole series of photos now posted on SGrid Online, but this gives an idea of the type of cars people are driving...
One last image for now, to show some of the racing going on...

This race will be held inside Homestead Miami Speedway on a temporary track at the same time as the Indy Cars will be racing. The dates are March 27, 28, 29.

Another good day of practice . The traction got better as the day went on and more cars ran. It was reflected in the times as they kept dropping with Paolo M. turning laps in the 13 sec. range. Thanks to all the people behind this facility. This has become a great facility .

IGP Free Test and Tune Day
Homestead RC Raceway invites you to a free test and tune practice day on the track that will be used for the 2nd Annual International Grand Prix.
Homestead Miami Speedway has been very kind and given us permission to build our temporary track for this event on site a week early. We would like to take advantage of this opportunity and make the track available for a free test and tune day, this coming Saturday, March 22nd.
This will be an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the layout, work on set ups and figure out tire selection.

Yeah, those pix came out great too! I just need some free time.
I went to the track Wednesday night with Art, partly to try to figure out some settings on a new camera, and partly to see if I could get decent night time shots of the electric cars. Here's one result - the rest will be posted, along with last weekend's photos, hopefully tomorrow.
By the way, the image below is right from the camera. The "special effects" were not created in Photoshop - other than for cropping the image, it's right from the camera, as-is. Gus Bustamante slid out and crashed into the board right in front of me, just as Art Carbonell went flying by.
