Default Homestead r/c Raceway

I spent the whole day in Homestead. They whole crew has done really great job with the whole facility.
The layout flows so nicely with all the new paint that has been added, you can really tell where you are on the circuit. The tire wear was great.
Everyone there deserves and big Thanks for all the hard work.
The weekend of Jan 5/6 they are having the first club race of the year, it would be great to start the new year off right by attending and having some fun.
A real good way to say Thanks for a great job.
See you all the weekend of the 5th.

I guess this track is back up again? Seen it was dead over the last few months.

The track has to adhere to the speedway during certain times of the year. During the Nascar and IRL events the track has to be taken down 2 weeks prior to those races.
Its sure good now. Its well worth a trip down to see for yourself.

This is great to hear, I love going to Homestead Motor Speedway's RC track!

We'll try to get the SS SpeedwayTampa crew down there, maybe even bring some of the IGT cars too.

Congrats to Homestead!

The Homestead RC Raceway crew is very busy when the IRL and support races come to Homestead Speedway each March. The area where the semi permanent rc track is located is also where all the media and concession food storage is brought in and located. Trucks, trailers, tents, ice machines, giant deep friers, and miles of wire are set up at this location. It is organized chaos.

The Homestead RC Raceway crew needs to completely disassemble the entire track and drivers stand and move the entire set up inside the Speedway. Then the track needs to be reassembled to accomodate the space provided for the rc races that are held in conjunction with the Speedway events.

The logistics can be a little overwhelming at times, but somehow it gets done. With as many as 50,000 people present on the IRL race day, entry, exit, security, spectator control, and running a good race become much more important than a typical race.

This is one of the neatest events you can attend. The atmosphere is something special. The competition will be great. You will race in front of thousands of enthusiastic spectators who really like extreme experiences. You will not be disappointed if you attend.
