So these would be similar to the 2 carbon braces that the S960 comes standard with? I am not trying trying to start a brand war with that question so please let's not go there, am just a new guy trying to gather info before picking a brand.

Secondly, and maybe I am misunderstanding you, but aren't all the bearing blocks and suspension arms plastic?

Your question here says that "do the carbon stiffeners replace the plastic piece" when I replied, I said ("the car originally did not come with any") I meant is "there is never any plastic stiffeners that came with the stock kit" of course all suspension, bulkheads, uprights, lay shaft mounts are made of plastic.

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between the gray and red clutch shoe? Also, what conditions would dictate using one over the other.

Thanks,
Steve

the red shoe is softer than the grey. It yeilds a little better grip, but it isn't quite as consistant over a long race. That is what I found when trying the different compounds. I almost always use the grey shoe.

Thumbs up

Are the A,B,and C blocks easy to swap out or do you have to unscrew the rear bulkheads in order to make the change out.

No, they do not come with universals. It is a shame considering other brands do.

Yup, it is a shame. Especially when the description on the kyosho site says it comes with carbon front body mount, alloy middle shaft bracket, and universals.

Well after the long debate of what car to buy, I've decided on the M3. I was going to get the Motonica, but its a little out of my price range.

So thanks to Ric B and www.bartzrcpartz.com.au for hooking my up with a sweet deal.

Can't wait until it arrives and start the build up.

Team kamekaze is at the winternats right now. Last time I talked to him im pretty sure he said he had them, but you're going to have to wait till he comes back to be sure.

He also has a new version of the brass batterie tray that is 63 grams.
