Default MBX5 conversion

Hello guys,

Does anyone know how much is involved with an MBX5 Conversion. I have one almost like new and not able to get much out of it, so would like to convert if not much trouble.

I converted mine to a GT by using Ofna body mounts and a modded front bumper from their Oval car. I used front shocks on the rear also but I don;t think you will need them. The stock shock towers will work depending on what body you try to run. The sedan bodys will work better than the Ferrari which probably won't fit at all. I doubt you will be able to get a 2 speed setup working though, there just isn't much room. Good luck.

Lookin' good!!!!

I hope as time goes on that Kyosho will be releasing different bodies - nice to at least see some fresh paint!

PLUS, hopefully that will encourage some of the other body manufacturers to get in also! Choices are always good!!!!!!

Licensing a real race car body is not a simple thing?

For GT1 the Aston Martin was next before the Ferrari, can we expect one soon?

Default Aston Martin for GT2 - avail AUGUST???

That means the Ferrari - if they do one - will be next year

Might get a GT3 by then or a GT2 kit/pro instead of a RTR

How long has the IGT been out, since the IGT2?

BTW Nice body, but hate the color.

Yes you can drop your Mugen on road motor in the GT1/GT2. Just beware the weakness of the car is the 2 speed transmission and you "WILL", not maybe, strip the 2nd spur gear with that high rpm motor especially if you got the GT2.

A buddy hear in Vegas runs a fast modded on road .21 in his GT2, however he also has a Mugen 1/8 2 speed tranny modded in the car to handle it, car looks awsome on the track and takes off and seems to run forever and didn't hit the motors high rpm peak but man it gets on your butt in hurry on the track straight away.

So yes you can, but you gotta upgrade the 2 speed to the 1/8 scale evolva type 2 speed. Check out winners circle hobbies or brooklyn Hobbies they sell a evolva 2 speed kit from ipanema racing, well worth it if you plan to bash on the road or race on a track.

I am leaving on Vacation Saturday afternoon. I have 1 Ipanema Black Hawk transmission left. Who wants it?
