Anybody tried to put the Reflex centax, one-way, and solid rear in the G4 yet? Got a buddy with a Reflex that wants the G4, but doesn't want to have to buy the extra stuff or the team kit if he can help it.

well I broke down and ordered the G4 to compliment my Reflex & my Serpents which are for sale!

I am running 16/49 & 19/46 on my reflex with an overall of 6.10. Maybe that explains why the car can barely make it down a 200 or so foot back stretch??? LOL The poor motor is just signing quite a high pitched tune lemme tell ya!

Thanks again for all your help on the ratios, that was a HUGE help. I'll post any details I come up with along with the other fellas with the new G4. Mine comes in Wed the 30th. I am putting my 5 port Sirio with a centax & RDL pipe in it for the following weekend, so I'll give a race report afterwards. A buddy of mine will be reviewing my G4 for http://www.rcxotic.com after that little photo/test session, it will be fun time!

Let's get some set-up tips up before I crash mine! LMAO! j/k!

I will be racing the car later today for the first time. I will give everone the low down and setup later today.

We run foam tires here so it a little but easyer to drive then with rubbers. Bring 2 rear Diffs one has 1000wt oil and the other has 6000wt and also a front diff with 30000wt..

Any one eles racin this car this weeken?

I dont know about the centex I never ran it in the reflex. The G4 comes with one. I know the solid and the oneway work in this car.
Tell your friend just to get the one that comes with the oneway and centex.

I would think running the Reflex Centax (the flywheel and all) on the G4 will make you have to run a higher engine mount ! Defeats the purpose.

Raced the G4 this weekend I liked the car so far...

I started with Joshs 2nd setup in the box.. But ended up with almost one of my reflex setups.. Going to stick with my Reflex setup on the G4

Its the same as joshs Box setup.. But the Oil is 50wt all around.. And 1000wt oil in the Rear Diff. Going to start running the front Diff as well with 30000wt Oil in the front.. Tires "TRC" Foam
Purple rear and fronts were Dub purple "fronts only"

Also need a new gas tank Broke it in the main

We run on a parking lot with little traction.

how did everone eles do with the car this weekend. ?

I tried to fit the reflex centax but found that the clutch bell actually rubs on the aluminium side brace where it has to fit through. I think you would need to do some drastic mods to get it to fit without weakening the car.

hey guys

Well I ran my g4 this weekend and I have to say that it was pretty darn good. The one thing that I have found out about the car is that I can run softer front tires in comparison to my serpent. On the serpent I had to run really hard front tires or else the car would traction roll, on the g4 those same tires made the car push real bad. I found that at my track speed mind 42 and 40 work well. I will be running the car next weekend at a track in toledo and will try some different set ups and let you guys know how they work.

Has anybody had problems with the engine leaning during a run on this car? My friend run his second race with the car and we had problems all day, the engine would lean during the run. He also wants to know what the pressure chanber that they have on the trynity site is for.

Thanks,

Steven Muller

Default Setup

BOX STOCK, but I will see what I can do. You also can visit teamtrinity.com to ask setup's direct to Joel himself I believe. I think the reason he's so wicked fast is that he uses the team magic starter box.(Just Kidding). I will also be racing with Mike Dumas this weekend, another EPIC/Trinity A team guy, so I will check his out. Ill keep ya posted.
