Thats a great price for a DM-1 Pro. Hopefully they will still be selling it at that price when I get a job.

Just put it on your CC and pay for it the next ten years. This ride is awesome.

Default New 1/8 DM-1S

Ok gents,

The DM-1 is by far the best large scale car to date for racing. With the explosion of the IGT these cars can run together like LeMans or Rolex series races. Here in NY we have the IGT spec and IGT outlaw so let's get this thread moving!!

My DM-1 is on its way and today ofna released info of a new 1/8 scale DM-1. http://www.ofna.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10069. The chassis is shorter with stand up shocks in the rear and lay down shocks in the front. This is very good news for large scale racing; with a new IGT2 and a new DM-1 this class should be around for a while.

Let's go RACING!!!

This thread might start up once the new DM1S is released.

C Verano,
Could you post the parts needed to convert the 1/7, DM-1 to the new 1/8, DM-1S?

The DM1S is a shortened chassis version of the Ofna DM1 1/7 scale car. It matches the dimensions of the Ofna GTP 2 and Kyosho IGT (current model).
It has all of the DM1 gear (updated diffs, etc). It comes in a kit ( not RTR).
The front shocks are the the horizontal style, and the rear shocks are upright but angled quite a bit.

Chris V,
The DM-1S's which are going out to hobby shops now, are these kits RTR kits or just unassembled kits?

The DM-1s comes assembled. Not as an RTR. You will need engine and radio gear.

No word yet on conversion kit.

For the Pro kit car, I have seen prices from $330 upward to $400.

Now that the DM-1 Spec Pro is out and for sale, can you post Jeffery Lin's set up from the Byron's challenge 2008 .
