I think that electric is gaining popularity more and more and we will start seeing electric versions coming out with a much smaller delay from their nitro counterparts in the future

Not until Ifmar puts more weight on the electric 1/8 scene. Electric is just a time taker. Look at the nitro challenge, nitro is what you want. Nobody cares about the electric winner.

Personally I like nitro, but my neighbors don't. That's probably why there are no nitro tracks in 50 miles.

I live in the country so my neighbors dont get to complain about what I do( probably a good thing with all the beating and banging and grinding I do on my camaro). My problem with nitro is that around me the nitro side has all but died. Everybody went electric because they were too wimpy to learn how to tune. Kinda sad really.

I half way agree with your statement. I think electric has brought a lot of people to the hobby that probably wouldn't be here if nitro was the only offering. I myself would love to give nitro a try but the nearest track is 2 1/2 hours away. I also have a business to run and kids to raise so the time constraints only allow me to run indoor electric in the winter.

People run electric for many reasons, tuning, costs of up keep, etc. I like both and i know a few that have went electric because they didn't want to keep up with racing costs anymore.

Have seen the 4.0 down here in NZ at our Nats this week. I've been told it is due for release before Christmas.
