I have a question, I have always ran a regulator in my nitro with a lipo , this year I have the Hi-Voltage servos, my question is what about the receiver? can it handle the lipo without the regulator? receiver is spektrum

spektrum can easily handle a lipo receiver pack so you will be fine

Yes, all of Spektrums current Surface Receivers can handle up to 9.6v.

Has anyone run the older AMB rc DP (not the RC4) Transponder with a 7.4V lipo and no regulator.

They say 8volt max without a resistor mod, but 8.4v is close.

You not gonna have problem with the AMB.I been using lipo with no reg for years never had any issues ! By the time when the power get to the amb through the wires and receiver,(Resistance) i am sure the voltage less than 8V...

Randy I ran unregulated look all last year. You will enjoy the added torque and speed! I went to a regulator after I burnt up a throttle servo but I think that was more my fault epa not set right.

I've been running 7950/7940 combo on unregulated LiPo in my buggy and truggy for about a year and wouldnt have it any other way. Awesome servos when you feed them.

The short answer is yes without a problem. Seen many people including myself who do it.
