Hey all... Newbie here. I got a Nitro Truggy running a .26 motor and when I go from idle to full throttle the truggy tends to spin the wheels and pull to the left. Is this common because of the power or is there something not right with the differential. How can I determine what is wrong and fix it. Kinda makes it hard to gun it coming out of the corners and keep it online for that triple jump

I would say the diff oils need to be changed.. possibility a shock oil/ or binding in the shocks? thats where I would start.. or be easier with the trigger finger

Check your drive shafts and bearings, that is normally a sign of something seized up.

+1 If one of your bearings on one side of the diff is seized it will pull to the other side. You should just take the truck apart to check and replace everything that is needed.

1/8th scale vehicles eat wheel and diff bearings.

Check regularly and replace as needed.

Check the center diff oil. If it is too thin the truck will torque steer on acceleration....Unload too much to the front wheels...

I say sure, check all that other stuff, but change the center diff oil to say 15,000....

Firstly make sure your drivetrain is loose. As mentioned in earlier posts, check bearings and diff oils. Thicker centre diff oils will make the truck push more nad thinner oil will pull more.
If its pulling to the side it could be bearings. Also swop wheels just for fun.

What Truggy? How much runtime (A few tanks, a gallon, a few gallons of fuel) is on it? Is it a RTR straight out of the box?

What diff oils do you have in it? Shock oils? Does it "roll out" straight when coasting? If you sit it on something with the wheels off the ground, engine off, does everything spin freely?

It's a Hot Bodies Lightning. I got it used so I don't know all the answers. I did just put new Losi 60 shock oil in the shocks (still seem to soft though). I have run maybe 1/2 gallon of fuel in it.

I will have to check and see, but if memory serves me the rear left doesn't spin as free as the others. I will check and repost. It rolls straight and on concrete there is no noticeable pull.

check the hub bearings

also, if the dog bone pins have worn out the drive cups, it will pull to one side

those are the two most prevalent causes of pulling to one side

Yes, the left rear wheel does not spin as free as the others and it also appears the dogbone is bent. Could that be it. I guess that should be my starting point.
