one of Alpha engines or the OD ss21 all the way. the OD SS21 is 200 with a free glow ignitor and (i think) 30 dollars off on towerhobbies.com. that engine will screem. i have an Alpha (orange head) and my dad has an OD SS21 and we took off at the same time down a straight, same power off bottom and the mid range mine pulled a little then he got me right back at the end, so the engines are pretty dead even. but we both need to wait for them to fully break in.

the OD is more consistant tune but im liking my Alpha once i got an exhaust cooler.

OK... OS Speed is tame.

Wheel spin doesn't win races.

Keeping up with a speed and being as "good" as a speed are two totally different concepts.

if buggy go with red head Alpha, if you go with a orange head Alpha you will have to go up 1-2 teeth on your clutch bell for buggy. orange is perfect for truggy. also green head works great in buggy or truggy.

My vote is for the Werk's engine....its the best built, highest quality engine in its price range by a wide margin.... it has a denser case, better piston tolerance, billet piston, swiss bearings, top notch carb with extremely good o-rings..... The Taiwanese built engines do not have the build quality and attention to detail the werk's has, they may perform as good, but thats where it ends...

for a buggy I'd get a b6 or the green head alpha I've heard plenty of great things about that alpha!

I have a b5 in my truggy. when it takes a dump im gonna get a b6 for my new buggy and a alpha for my truggy why not switch it around?

You couldn't go wrong with a werks becuase Ron is an incredibly helpful guy and those engines are fast

id say get the hyper .21 8 port race and put your O.S. carb on it. my hyper hauled balls but never held a tune. an os carb solves that and makes it a good engine
