The 9853 hits harder than the new 2084; but the trade for runtime and overall smoothness is worth it.

You're brain doesn't "think" the 2084 is making as much power, but the way it comes on throughout the curve is better. It doesn't quite have the midrange responsiveness of the 9853, but for most tracks and drivers the 2084 is probably the better compromise and makes better torque than the 9901 with around the same mileage.

I still own my 9853 though

One is a tuned silencer (2084ss) and one is a tuned performance exhaust (9853ss)

im running the P5 XLT, this is an animal!! all through the powerband.. very responsive and seems to get great mileage!! im running a 053 pipe also with 8mm insert.

get a ninja and you will not have to worry about bottom, top, or mileage. the motor is just plain nasty. everytime is see a o.s. motor scream i am still amazed. o.s. power is very hard to beat.

we run over OS engines every weekend ! fast yes, hard to beat no !

The new "silencer" does reduce the volume quite a bit as well.
