First thing to consider is the amount of fuel the tow vehicle is going to suck down pulling the trailer to out of town events. Your going to have to find some pit buddies that are willing to pony up some gas money to offset the cost of towing with today's gas prices. I have a 7x16 with all the toys, refrigerator, A/C, microwave, electric grill, compressor, radio, satellite TV, 12v power supply and more. Between all of that and the weight of the bench and my race gear it gets to be alot for my expedition.
However with that said, if you go for it get the v nose trailer for aero dynamics. Also go for the 8 foot wide so you can effectively use both sides of the trailer. The 7 foot wide doest allow alot of space to work with. It ends up being a wall just to hang stuff from. Last advice is to go with either a 12 or 16 footer. You will find yourself cutting off 2 feet of the panels to accomodate a 14 footer. You have to buy enough panels, 4x8, you might as well use them rather then to cut them down to size. I pit three easy in my trailer but can do 4 a little tight.

Some other questions are.
1) What tow vehicle do you have?
2) How big of a guy are you?
3) Do you want to stay compact or would you rather spread everything out for your work area?
4) Is money a concern?
I have a 6 x 12 that has 2 bunkbeds across the back and 2 of us can pit in it over a race weekend comfortably and run at least two classes. But then we are both under 6 tall and about 150lbs each.

OK guys here is an idea that Alan Burton came up with. When we travel to a large event (like the psycho nitro blast next week) when we arrive we will go to the local U-HAUL and rent a 26 footer, that's about $40 a day and you can easily pit 3 people. Add it up it really makes sense, they first did this for the Colonels Classis is Savannah and it poured rain, but all them and there stuff was nice and dry. Another good point is at the end of the day you just close the door and lock it up. No loading or worrying if someone was gonna ness with your stuff. Also no $3000+ investment for a trailerand then the hassle to tow it everywhere.

these guy are giving you good things to think about and consider. The V-nose very good idea, I wish I would have but I still like mine. I went to menards and bought a standard counter top 12' long, alot of times you can pick one up for cheap that might have a damaged corner or something that made it get rejected/returned. another thing I did was put indoor/outdoor carpeting in mine insted of tile simple because at some races when it get into the nite and the dew comes out the floor gets slick. Don't go cheap on a generator like I did, you will end up with issues...buy a good one. other wise you can go as extreme as you want too, but I would go alittle bigger than you first think cause when you build this it's like winning the lottery.....all of the sudden you have all kinds of friends
