Best Pipe for OS 28 XZ?
Hi everyone. Looked for almost and hour and can't find this info in here, so thought I'd post a thread:
I have a brand new OS 28 XZ for my truggy. I bought the T-2060SC for it, but was told the 2050 rocks. So I bought a used 2050 for it. Plan to break in with the 2060 as it's already attached. Wanted to know what others have experienced. I have JP 1,2,3, and 4 and others (RB, LC etc). Not too concerned with mileage. Just want to know what would work. I know I should experiment, but thought I could cut down on research time and ask all you fine, knowledgable RC whizes!
Thanks in advance for any input.

That motor will get more than what you bargain for with the 2060 with respectable fuel millage for a .28, torque galore. I ran mine last season on a losi 2.0t and had to gear up to a 15t clutch bell as the stock 13 was good for tire spinning, same with the st-rr had to go 15.

I have tried loads of pipe combinations with this engine, including the ones you have mentioned.
For me the best pipe for all round performance and fuel economy was the HN2062 pipe which is the same as the JP4

Cool. I'm already planning the 14/50 to start. I've got the 48 spur on order. Also plan on have 15 ready. I realize this will change everything as I was running JP mod VSPEC 21 with 13/50 or sometimes 12/50 for craziness. I looking mostly to bash at this point so useable power is all I care. What's a 2035? OS?

good combo, fuel milage is ok, for a thirsty mota, but we only
run 6min races at our club, and i still have just under half a tank
of fuel left, good luck with ur choice of pipe....

The 086 pipes work very well on the OS .28XZ engine for all around performance and fuel mileage. Worth giving one a try

On the 28xz I like the 2050 and the jp3 . The xz is a powerhouse but I have yet to find a pipe where it doesnt suck fuel .

MSR 1005 !!!! works awesome on the engine..... but that pipe is no longer available.

jp4, but I got rid of mine in 2 races. that one or two extra pit stops in a main is not good.

I'm not concerned with fuel mileage. I'm bashing my LSP. Main reason I started this thread is I bought a BUKU pipe. I'd like to see my engine performing at it's peak, then try the BUKU and see if it's anywhere near the hype. I'm going to try it on my JP mod VSPEC in a buggy as well. First get it running best I can, then swap to the BUKU and tune according to their instructions. The technology of the BUKU makes sense to me, but like to see if I can tell the difference.
