Double bend header Vs. Round header

Double bend header Vs. Round header
Regardless of the engine application, can anyone give me the basic theory between the two? I know either come in a variation of lengths, but I'm just wondering what a double bend does compared to a round. Thank you!

do a search

double bends are known as 'square'. Do a search on square vs. round headers

do you know a guy by the name of Monty housten? He has a thread called Monty Housten Engine service in this forum. The question has probably alredy been answered in that thread if not ask him. Hes a great guy to ask questions to in the future. He sure knows his motors

the square header will have more responce on the bottom in long or short dimensions, the bends are to help with bottom end, they disrupt the scavenge affect of the pipe. Thye round header has a broader feel to the motor, the scavenge affect is greater= a square header that is the same length as a round header will have more reponsive bottom and less top than the round of the same length. But this is all only my opinion and what i feel when using headers of different lenght and shape on my modded engine's.

I think he is talking about the header pipe that has 90 degree bend the straight then another 90 bend into the tune pipe vs the C-shape header like the Jammin JP series.

Is one type of header better in fuel economy?
In example I use a V-spec now with 2041 pipe - it uses a long round header. If I put a shorter round or a square one (which is also shorter) will I get better run time (apart from better top end)?
