hi guys, just got the beast of an engine. broke in well only had 1 race before i found i was using glow plugs like no tomorrow.
open the engine and found the piston liner damaged and the con rod damaged....... gutted since i spent so much


i always used air filter and fuel filter as well


no sure what happen. any u guys have the same problem.

Did you take the engine apart and clean it up lube it, then put it back together and seal it before break in? There could have been 1 little shred of metal from milling the parts in there and bam there you have it. Oh and the P3 is a great mill, if you expierence any air leakage look up carb sealing they will do that from time to time the boot the pinch bolt neck everything and your golden.

What plug was you using?

I've seen glow plug wire break go through the engine make junk out of the engine

i have own a few engines , rb, go, rb sirio, never had to take them apart and lube before breakin in. but i guess, the picco is an exception. ..... damn
