It was a great weekend at Leisure Hours this past weekend. I made the 4 hour trek to Joliet to race the Illinois State Indoor Nitro Champs...My Powerhouse Modded Nova Plus 4's along with Cold Fusion 30% Majic Blend Powered my Losi 2.0B and 2.0T to the TQ Position in Intermediate Buggy and Intermediate Truggy. With Starting First and making 10min fuel runs I led all but 2 laps in Buggy and Wire to Wire in Truggy in each of the 30min A-mains.
Thanks to Mark and Ron for the great products. keep up the good work!

Hey mark I have a quick question on my GRP .28 tuned line engine i just got in the mail, this is what i said in other post, could you help me out man?
Thanks

well I got it. and I do have a flaw in it
But first let me say its a very powerful engine, almost to powerful.
Havent raced it yet but this saturday will plan on it.
But the bug in it I discovered is that there are bubble (air leak) where the glow plug is, (** its a turbo gp, no gasket)
Im not quite familiar with turbo glow plugs but I tried tightening it as hard as I could w/ out stripping it and no matter how tight it is, it still has bubbles.
How the hell would I solve this flaw.
Thanks

Man this subject has been beat to death and it comes down to the taper of the turbo plug, The GRP plugs are ok and the OS plugs are the only other turbo plug that has the same taper angle on it. So either run GRP or OS plugs in this engine and you will be fine. Now I know that someone will say "well I use brand X and it works fine for me" Well ok I am just relaying what I have observed both in these threads and also in my own personal experience. I always ran a P4 or P8 plug in my GRP engines. The P3 plug ran great but it burnt out after 1 race day.

Yes different plugs have different tapers but when it boils down to it, once the base of the plug seats to the base of the button, its seated. Whether or not the full surface area of the taper is making contact, that's a different story. What I found out when I had GRP's is that the thread depth is different. I like using nova based plugs and the nova's have an extra thread on their plugs which means the thread bottoms out on the base of the button before the taper does and the air sneaks through the threads and creates air bubbles. What I did on mine was took my grinder and relieved the depth of the button to make the longer threaded plugs work. If you are using the grp plugs and it is still leaking, you may have to replace the button but before you go hunting around for a button, look at the base of the button where the plug is supposed to seat and if it looks like threads are trying to cut their way into the aluminum, that could be the problem. If you get fed up with trying to figure it out, send it in for me to work on it and I will make it seal with any plug. Let us know what you find out.
