LOL. Lap times from this weekend at the JBRL round 1 race

Now look at the SPORTSMAN times. They had a intermediate class to race but these pussies chose to sandbag instead. Pro's top 10 pro's were running 35 second lap times. I have no Idea why JBRL does not monitor lap times and bump accordingly.

I feel ya man. I was in the Sportsman E main and I too saw a bit of sandbagging out there. Like that one kid who bumped up to the sportsman A main from the I main. There was some hacks out there as well but that is sportsman. All in all I had a great time, just wish that people would sign up for the right class and not worry about dominating a lesser class, these races are about fun anyway.

I finished 7th in the F MAIN and my fastest lap was a 38. 1st place had a 34. Sorry but lap times like that belong in the intermediate class not sportsman,

Don't get me wrong I had a blast, but just don't understand how someone can feel good about beating people in a class they should not be racing in....LOL

Well, club racing I have started to race expert and raced Int at Thunder alley, and thats pretty normal I think. 34's in sportsman is pretty much sandbagging I agree. My fastest laps were mid 34's.

i had a idea and told my buddy who has a track, i dont know how well it would work w/ scoring system but i think it would help alot more then calling sand baggers out after qauls everyone is way to busy getn ready including race director

run 2 rounds all buggys together then all truggys ....then resort and divide into 2or3 classes depending how many entries you have...based on qual results= slow group/sportsman---middle group/open---fast/pro then they have a round in there classes to qaul

if a racer has broke in each first 2 rounds(unlikely) compare the good lap/times they have had and find what class they should be in letn him qaul if they break again the would be in lowest main in the class u put them in

the classes could be broke down uneven...say u have 150 total entries only 30 guys are really fast they could make the pro class...then you have 80 guys that are sorta close to each other there a little slower--open class
then you have 40 guys 20 are off the pace and then 20 others like me just bashing away...lol thats a true sportsman class

the only guys that would complain are the ones who like to sandbag in the first place! IMO

i know it wouldnt work with rc-pro races ....but big and club races i think it could WHAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK?

Bingo. Those are some pretty good lap times. Just below PRO so you entered the right class. It's not the end of the world and Im not gonna have a bum day over it. I never had a good race, this was my first time racing besides one club race. I was so nervous and then didn't get the second quali (thank god damn it was a slow day) the track was sick......and I will be at ARC for the next round.

Not to flame your thread, but I was say those people are right where they were supposed to be. 4-5 second slower lap times should not be run with the pro drivers. 5 seconds is huge when racing, and that's about the average difference between Pro and sportsman. It's supposed to be fun. When it gets to you too much, get mean and beat em!!

It's called the intermediate class. Look at the lap times some pro's were 35 so how is a 34 ok for the sportsmanclass? they should have been in the intermediate class. Relax Im not all hot and bothered by it. I just found it suprising to see so many fast guys sandbagging that's all.

There were a ton of sponsored drivers running sportmen. The rule was if you were top 3 from last year sportsmen, you had to move to int. 2 of them stayed and raced sportsmen again.

hmmmmmm..did i read the post right? Car/laps/time/fastlap.....if u ran sportsman 16laps 10:39 and that would have put u in the pro b-main...u probally shouldnt have been in that class when there was over 300 entries

I was having major tuning issues. Saturday, i blew my truggy motor, and put a back GRP in. During warmup, it decided to become fully broken in, and richen up like crazy, so i had no power. After losing 2 minutes to tuning, i finally was able to run. To late by then. For buggy, i ripped the rear on off on the back jump. All in all, a $600 weekend for 34 minutes of race time.
