Default Which way does fuel filter go?

I have a http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/21369 does the side with the black ring face the fuel tank or engine?

You have to open it up and take a pic of it so we can see the internals to tell you for shure, but usually the fuel will enter the smaller half of the filter, the O-ring is between the 2 halves.

It depends on the type of screen is in the filter .

as per the info from the amainhobbies site the filter is not cartridge based and is a wire mesh based filter like the kyosho, if that is the case then the o ring faces the carb.

Thanks the mesh is near the end that faces the carb right?

Think of it this way, you want some where for the dirt to build up. So following the flow of the fuel you want it to enter the the filter and build up before it hits the screen, then it flows to the carb. If its put on backwards there is no room for the dirt to collect, so it will force its way through the screen or block the flow.
