There are many good plugs to chose from. If you plan on running 30% fuel you'll want to stick with a COLD plug. I normally run the McCoy MC-9.

There are also alot of good pipes on the market that will work well with that engine. One that makes more power than most with the P5X is the MSR 1005 but it's not cheap. It's also a little soft and dents fairly easy if you get punted on that side. The 053/9853 is also a popular pipe for that engine.

O.S.#8 or O'donnel 99

edit: yeah, and a JP3 is safe. I run mine with a Jp4 at the moment, works fine, hard to tell on the snow.

Odo99, nova 9886 w/nova 41005 header is very good. Good bottom and excellent top end. 9853 works well also.

Did you cut the bottom throat of the carb or just stuff it in the P5X case?

why would you replace the best carb on the market

odonnell 77 w/ 30/11 gen2 and a dynamite 086 hs pipeset 8mm restrictor , add extra .10mm head shim if there is excessive carbon build up , you will get more top end and better run times . take my advice or not its up to you

Hey Monty do you want to play with my Hot Mod P5(done wore out). I need a back up motor for this year and if you think it would be worth fixing and making super fast I will hand it to the master!!!!!!!!!!! Is your MP9 setup still a good start for me?

I find the O.S. carb easier to work with.... and overall better.

Are you saying better run time and top end due the pipe combo or adding the shim? Also Casey P didn't seem to like the dynamite pipes, he recommended the OFNA if you can't afford the Novarossi ones. Do you see any real difference between the two? What Novarossi plug do you recommend and are the Novarossi ultra plugs any better than their regular ones? Hope you are enjoying your stay in AZ.

Thanks
