There really is no "best one " , all personal opinion .
Sportwerks doesn`t make their 1/8 buggies anymore for some reason so I`d stay away from the Turmoil as it might get to hard for parts . What buggy do you have ? I would get her the same one you have so you can have a box of parts for the same buggies . Or take a look at Caster Racing buggies , they are a small name right now but have excellent products and EXCELLENT customer service .

+1 on the caster cars they come with decent engines, and are durable. Another RTR that I always said to myself if I were to buy 1 for someone would be the Picco buggy.

There are some rtr's better than others. However you have several good rtr's to choose from. I personally drive the losi 8 2.0 and love it. Some may that I am biased to losi and rightfully so.

Even with that(and I have said this many times) I'll tell you some of the reasons why I recommend the losi products and in this case the RTR.

With Team Losi you get what many will say is the best customer support out in the industry. When you have such a large company who is really into the quality of the product it is really nice to know you have worldwide support.

Parts support is pretty much everywhere for you should you get it. If it happens to not be in your local shop you can get it at any of the major online shops and have it within a couple days. I personally use www.carolinasrc.com.

I think it's one of the nicest RTR's out on the market. It may be more than others but it has a quality radio, great sport engine, and overall it's a tough buggy. You also have great support from several of the team members in these forums.

email me @ [email protected], and depending on when you are considering the purchase I may can save you up to $65 on the car with some monthly coupons sent to me by carolinasrc.com

I have a losi RTR, a 2.0, and the new 2.0 Truggy. My RTR has been a blast, and introduced me into the hobby for cheap but without much headache.

I too use carolinas and have good luck.

The losi is a perfect place to start.

Why get RTR when you can send me the kit and I'll build it for you??

Building is half the fun, IMO.

Losi all the way. Great buggy parts are easy to get and it's relatively easy and cheap to upgrade to a race buggy. Losi 1.0 will be very competitive for years to come.
