Yes Tebo is a top free agent. Money is important, but the team is just as important. Tebo has strong ethics. He will not pick a jacked up team with deep pockets. He will pick a team that will pay him good, offer a great ride, and great teammates.

If I were him I would go Kyosho. Lutz and Tebo would make a great team.
I met lutz and some of the kyosho team a few years at a big race. It was my first time driving a offroad 1/8th gas car coming from onroad. They took my car and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I will never forget that about Kyosho. They are tops in my book.

I would like to see him go to Kyosho. AE already has too much talent it their stable anyway. This would be a good way to mix things up alittle.
kyosho has a tonne of talent on there team. AE needs more. There isn't a team around that couldn't use the likes of Jared. From what I understand he has a great head on his shoulders and has good values. I pray he gets what ever he's looking for and more. He can change the image of a company just by the way he carries and conducts himself. God Bless Jared and his family.

Everyone keeps saying " if they can afford Him " etc.
What do these guys really make for a salary?

even if they are paying them a salary plus benefits, I highly doubt that these guys are pulling 6 figures, and even if they are, that is not that much for a company.

Am I off base here?

how much do these guys make?

I have wondered the same thing as well. Not to mention with all the sponsors some of these guys have it has to be crazy to even figure it out with checks coming in every direction all the time. I am also curious about travel expenses and such.

I dont know what all this speculation is about. He will go to AE and be done with it. If he is lucky he wont have to run those reedy or lrp engines. What a downgrade that would be from the O.S. Speed

A driver that doesn't have any other company duties, I would say $60k or more.

Some of the top guys make a VERY comfortable living racing RC cars. There are a few who do make in the 6 figure range.
Remember that they don't just race, they practice alot and most of them work in the R&D department of their respective sponsors.
