Default Good Clutch Shoe Replacement???

I have a Sportwerks Turmoil. It has a three shoe design clutch. I keep busting the factory shoes. I have been looking at OFNA aluminum shoes. I have been told the Integys were horrible. Any suggestions?

The norm is 1.0, unless you need smoother engagement on a slippery track, go down to .9 or .95 Kyosho if they fit. If you need more bite for big jumps, use the 1.1. Those will engage harder and on slippery tracks may make the car wheel spin too much.

I am going to go with the Dynamite Max Life Shoes. I'm not sure which springs will fit. It is a Sportwerks Turmoil w/26V2 engine, three shoe design.

If its like most, it has a 2.5mm clutch pin for the shoe like Mugen. The Kyosho uses 2.6mm, so they should work on others, but not the other way around. The Kyosho .95mm give a softer engagement then the 1.0 but not too soft like .90. They are blue colored so you can tell they are not the regular size spring. I know quite a few people who use them on Jammin and Mugens. I wouldn't worry too much about using them, but at least you know some of the differences. Also, you try carbon or teflon shoes, don't go past 1.0 springs or you smoke the shoes.

Back when I ran 1/8th Buggy I ran that setup, had a good neutral feel to it, very predictable power application.

Integy sucks at everything.

Another one for dynmite shoes. I have been running the same set for a while now, I used to go with ofna but I would get about one race weekend with one set, and that was with two qualifiers and a five minut main.

Mugen parts will fit. My LHS recommended the Mugen white shoes and 1.0 springs for their track, so that's what I've been running on my Turmoil/26V2.

I decided to go with Dyn. Max Life Shoes and ordered every size Mugen(LHS couldn't get Kyosho) spring available. They aren't very expensive and it looks like the clutch is going to be an after every weekend maintenance item. Thanks guys.
