Wheres Mike Elam when somebody needs info about the fabled RB C6??? Hmmm.... Probably working... 
He is the guy aroud here that has known the power of the C6 and lived to tell about it... I was his pit guy several times and I was thuroughly impressed with not just the power but the fuel economy! With the right tune those things tear it up!
I would also give a nod to JP FX engines... they are very sweet too!!!!

I have the speed and the 28xz, the 28 is by far the most impressive engine i've owned.Its power is never ending and its very good on fuel ( 8.30- 9mins in my 8ight T)

The most impressive engine for Truggy is the GRP/Ninja 28......Its not quite as explosive down low as the OS 28, but it pulls pretty good from the OS in the upper midrange and top end...The OS 28 I felt was a little too heavy handed on the low end, and not quite strong enough on the top end....I felt the GRP/Ninja 28 had a better balanced powerband then the OS 28....Of course both motors are killer engines, and choosing between the two is picking straws.
.21 for Truggy I have to recomend the Picco P7R/Jammin JPX engines...... These motors have an excellent powerband and make really big power and torque... Believe it or not but the Picco is actually more powerful then even the mightly RB C6.... So in a Truggy the Picco is a dam fine choice.....
If you want the ultimate Truggy engine contact either Adam at AB Mods or myself for a modified Picco or V-Spec....These motors are strong stock, but once modified they enjoy a substantial jump in power output from bottom to top....
I also have modified the RB C6, once modified its an absolute screamer of an engine...... The C6 is very restricted from factory and responds huge to timing mods.. for some reason RB decided to vent 90% of the C6's exhaust out 30% of the exhaust port volume......

If you are looking for a race application engine, spend the money on a better .21. You will get longer run time between pit stops in the main. Also, they are a little bit easier to handle than a stupid fast .28 that gets only 7-8 minutes between pit stops. Where as the RB C6 BB7T (modified by RBmods) in my Losi 8ight T gets at least 10 minutes between stops. Just another reason to buy a good .21 versus a huge .28+ size engine.

I agree that a good .21 is the way to go if you are just starting out. My choice would be a V-Spec also as that is easy to tune and holds that tune very well. next would be the RB C6T7.. good luck with your choice

excellent porting design to use as much fuel for power as is possible =great torque , smooth pull and ripping top end !!!!! and the bearing issue has all but disappeared on the plus engines ,and if you happen to have a problem try the tko bearings . peter is an awesome guy and i will be testing his new ceramic bearings for the plus engines . i will keep you posted !!! i am sure they will be the $h!t !!!!

I am curious to see if the new Nova 28's are smooth and tractable.... i see Novarossi has kept the new .28 using the same geometry as the current 528, with a long 17.6 mm stroke...Usually a long stroke motor makes its power more efficiently at lower RPM's and tends to fall off in the top end..so I am curious if these new 28's are actually smooth and usable, or will they be insane torque monsters with uncontrollable low end... Are the new cranks slugged ?

I run my Xray xt8 truggy. With the os .28 and it is awsome I use the standard flywheal and it works fine. With mugen fibers and 1.0 springs and the truck is ballistick. I also own the new sirio cl7b sti. Great motor very smooth and toque for .21 because of the long rod. The rb is a great engine to. But I will kepp my .28 I 10 plus with the motor and dont have to spend alot of money alumiun shoes. Also with the fibers the truck will clear what ever you throw it. are tripple is over 32 feet and most of the truggies with the .21 sometimes dont clear. I say add another 10 foot to pleanty of power. Also try rocco silver state setup on xray. truck was awsome tons of stearing everywere.

o.s. .28 is the only way to go unless you have time to wait a month for the new grp line of engines to come out i have had a few .21 engines in my truggy and the .28 is better then all of them it is smooth when tuned right and will get 8-9 min. run timew with the red restrictor in the carb the motor rips but at the same time if you have ever seen a mugen-grp .28 you will know they are very fast and now that grp and mugen arent together anymore and grp is coming out with thier own motors they are going to be top knotch hense the reason alot of pros are signing on to run them

whatever you do, please don't buy a Werks .28 pro. If you do ,as soon as u get it , throw the carb as for as u can throw it. I've a piston and sleve on order ( from werks) since Dec. Has good power on the low but os, go, rb was killing me on mid and top end. Go with a .21 It does not take much power to be fast. Smooth is fast....
