I know its 10 months away but whats the score with the new MBX6, some sneek details would be nice i hate having to wait around all the time i want some glimpses of what we are waiting for, ahhhhhhhhh the wait is killing me already cant even guess by any new parts for the 5R as theres nothing out to give some clues im guessing less weight to keep up with the new lighter competition but what else only thing ive seen was an interview where the 5R was stated as old tech and the new car was going to be the biz, i need to stop im getting myself wound up now with An Tisi Pation (rocky horror )

Hey guys, i had a huge problem yesterday racing. I couldnt get any forward bite at all.
We had been running in a really dry slick track, and this week it was a good hard pack wet dirt (not mud)
Front shocks 350
Rear Shocks 500 (really seemed to help)(started at 450)
Stock pistons
Gray Springs
5-7-3 front to rear
I also switched from 2 carbon and 1 alum shoes to 3 alum shoes with 1.0 springs.
Nova .21 3 port with JP3
Panther K2's Super Softs stock foam
i ahve eck tek shock towers on it, got it sitting like stock
the CVD's are right under being level
stock toe on the rear 3.25? i think
and a eck tek -1 front hingepin plate (antidive??)

Switch to the 3 degree rear toe block, and make sure you have 0 degrees of anti squat.
Keep the springs the same, make sure the bottom shock mounts are on the outside hole on the arms and the top of the shocks are 1 hole out from the middle on the towers.
put your rear camber links on the lowest, inside hole on the rear tower and the highest, outside hole on the hub carriers. Hubs all the way back (spacers in front).
Caster in the middle, 1 degree of toe out on the front with -2 degrees of camber all around.
oh, get yourself a set of m2 and m3 crimefighters. I'm not bashing panther, but their tires seem to struggle to work as well as proline.

i really liked my panther tires, i couldnt ever really get the crimes to hook up, but its been a couple weeks on the K2's so they are probably shot

I normally get my parts from www.amainhobbies.com but I forget to put some clutch springs on my last order, hence getting some spares in the short term.

need help..
Hi Mugen Bros,,
Driving an MBX5R,, i would like to know
1.what is the effect of a 5-5-2 diff oil setting?
2. a high roll center setting for front and rear?,
3. 35 front/ rear shockoil using grey medium springs?
we have a tight/slippery w/ doubles and 1 tabletop in our track.
thanks much!!

The 5-5-2 is a good idea for tight and slippery. It will allow for more steering/rotation and more forgiving drive on power because of the 5k center. The high roll center will make the car more aggressive on turn in and for that type of track it is hard to drive a car that handles like that consistently.
35wt is about right for the front shocks but too heavy for the rear (assuming you have the black 1.5mm pistons in your shocks), try 27.5-30wt and 32.5 if traction comes up.
