MGT 3.0 mini for racing
My track runs a Monster Truck class I used to race an electric monster in it.....but I was thinking of getting an MGT 3.0 since everyone else was running nitro monsters.
The track is pretty small set up for 1/10 short course so my brushless E-Revo had waaaayyyy to much power and a tough time in the tight corners. Its just too big for tight track, same goes for my Savage just too big.
I was thinking a little 3.0 would be a great size.... running against Revos, LST and Savages I should have an advantage in the tight sections...there is only one short straight away so they really cant take advantage of their size or speed.
I think if I could widen the stance a hair and get some bowtie style tires it could work pretty well.
Anyone try to race an MGT 3.0 and have any input on mods?

I have a MMGT (which I converted to electric though) and it is a pretty good truck, this is what I think you should get before you put it on the track-
*Some wider tires as you said before
*Some alloy steering blocks (only alloy you should get imo)- you get them cheapest from here: http://www.integy.com/st_main.html?p_catid=139
*get a proper pipe (when mine was nitro I WAS gonna buy this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEAR8&P=7 So the pipe would go down the left side of the car. But I never tied that and I havent seen anyone else who did it so it might not fit. )
Also this might have some good stuff- http://thetoyz.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24900
Good luck =)
