Default REVO 3.3 TO 8th SCALE CORR

You see Revo to Slayer "What would I need" conversion threads all over the place. How about I keep my Platinum Revo close to stock, regear it, add Proline Wheels/tires for the SC8, add Proline or Associated Corr truck shell and have a SC8 Fighter, I could add the slayer bumpers, and lower it/adjust the suspension. Would the wheels work, the platinum Revo has 17mm hexes, so maybe? What about the Corr shell, it should be close to lining up, the PE revo is extended from the 3.3. I don't know it might be fun running around with the SC8's. Wouldn't cost much I know I would still be running essentially a MT but he different look would be fun..what do you think(no I haven't started drinking yet LOL)

No the revo is about 6 inches wider then a 1/8th buggy

it will will look akward with an sc8 body witch wont fit anyways because revos dont have a flat chassis plate.

wheels and tires will fit

but buggy tires are too small for a revo.

I'm not sure about the revo being 6" longer, the SC8 is 1/8 scale, I will have to look up the length of the PE Revo and the SC8....tires and wheels should be the right size the SC8 is based on their 8th scale truggy. Gonna look into it alittle further, it would be a hoot to see the Corr scale truck running around with a revo platform under it!

OK here is what I figured out on the dimensions of each. The SC8 Corr truck is 24.25" L 12"W with a Wheel Base of 14.75" The Revo PE is 22.5" L 17"W whith a 14.5 WB

The Wheel base would be measured with the stock tires, about 1.75-2" tires on the SC*
5.75" tires on the PE Revo, os you can subtract about 7-8" off the revo WB. Wheel base would be an inch or two different (the revo being narrower) That can be made up by axel extenders if necessary.

I think I could have a fairly good looking Corr truck close to 1/8 scale dimensions. Gear it properly, tune the suspension up right, maybe add the Slayers bumpers and have a blast!! Change it back into a Revo PE in no time...I'm just saying

Sounds like this could work. Keep us posted.

You may be able to make it work, but you have to make sure the wheels will fit without hitting anything like the hubs, knuckles or suspension arms on the revo. If you know someone at your track with a sc8, ask to see if you can test fit the wheels and then measure the width. good luck.

I don't think the Wheels should be a problem, but I definately will test fit some before I buy!

Hey Smok, the Revo actually is a little narrower, the wheels are quite abit wider the the SC8's so when you factor that in you find the Revo a bit narrower. Instead of laughing you should read and understand the thread. Might work, might not, who cares?, who knows!, your arrogance and lack of willingness to figure out the question is disappointing. As for turning it into a 5T come on man everyone knows you can't fit a big block like the 5T has into a Revo! LOL

you could easily convert it to slayer not quite 1/8 scale but hella fun to drive
all you need is
slayer A-Arms #5931 through #5934 each corner is different $7.19 X4
slayer turnbuckles #5938 $8.59 X2
slayer push rods #5918 $6.69 X2
slayer drive shafts buy from ebay completed instead of part by part $20.00
slayer center diff #5914 gives you correct final drive for smaller tires $34.99
add wheels tires bumpers and body of your choice and there you have it

someone on ebay is selling all the parts besides the ctr diff for 65 bucks on ebay as well http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-SLAYER-Conve...3%3A1|294%3A50
