I agree the shock caps and ends, rod ends and spur pinion mesh are potential problems but i am very confident losi is addressing them as we speak.
glad you posted this makes me feel better about gettin one.

people on URC are goin nuts talking smack about breaking a few very inexpensive parts here and there. and if losi is gonna back the parts there no room to complain.

also nice lil pit tip on helping to protect the caps!

Well im not sure how many old timers are on here,,, but back when an older site was up and running ,, ppl there found parts that were weak links on the VENDETTA,,, this made it easier for others to stock up on weaker parts or bullet proof the more expensive items and transfer the stress to more ineensive and easy to replace items..... Just my .02 cents ...

That said ,, I see nothing wrong with others finding the more weaker parts...

Has anyone swapped the motor or esc?

I was thinking of getting one and throwing in the CM26 castle motor (4600kv) and an older mamba max...

How are the spurs and pinions holding up?

What size holes are the pinions and pitch?

Yeah I'm running a dynamite 7000kv motor its only 22mm but I'm told a 26mm would fit fine. my spur and pinion is doing great, I had a whole set of team associated steel pinions that are the same pitch and shaft diameter so I use an 11 tooth pinion with my motor. one thing I will say is that my spur gear came warped and I had to do some extensive break in to get the gears to mesh right.

Yes I run it on 2s, yeah I tried it out with the stock pinion and it was un controlable thats why I dropped it down to 11tooth. Its still got monster power, at the local track I was keeping up with the 8th scale SC trucks.

so what pitch is the mini 8ight spur?

I think i would need a new pinion for the cm26 since its 3.2mm or 1/8" shaft

I put a 2668 from Castle with a 15T pinion in mine and its soooooo freakin fast on 2s now and the stock ESC though it did get hot did not thermal .

The 2668 was a complete bolt on except for needing a pinion with a larger bore .
