there is really 2 to choose from, vendetta st or rc18
i would without a doubt go for the vendetta, or if you want the very best, LRP shark factory team. (full hopup vendetta st)

Well if you want it to bash off-road then stay away from 2WD 1/18 scales because about all they are good for is on a dirt road that is in good shape or an off-road track. The are fun though when you can run them, of course on the street they are fine and fast too and can handle the uneven road surfaces well.
But in general if trying to bash off road with something as small as a 1/18 go for 4WD, and as high a clearance vehicle you can find. With little tires you'll need as much traction and ground clearance as you can get. Maybe wait to see how big the Traxxas 1/16 scale Revo and Slayer are actually going to be in comparison to a 1/10. I'm guessing it should still be a fairly compact package but will definately have a size advantage over a 1/18 that will open up more places for you to bash around.

Tamtech Gear GB-02 Buggy Champ. It's 2wd though, but it's a good size - can handle some rough stuff yet still very portable, and maintenance free.
There's also a Tamtech Gear GB-03 Hotshot, which is 4wd but I've no useful info on that.

Well
I was looking at the RC18B b/c it looks like it can take some nose dive landing.
The detta looks nice also lil heavier and more parts. I believe both are 4wd ?
Yeah i was looking at the Revo Mini but it wont be out till jan and it will cost a fortune 2.4 TX RX, Being new, Being Unique as it is. and a high demand, i have yet to see traxxas come out with a roller. I think it will be a RtR only type.

Put the buggy body, wheels and tires on the ST and you have a buggy. The RC18b has exactly the same suspension as their truck (18t) and is considerably wider than the Vendetta buggy unless you run the ST suspension.
