They are. I like the brake disc to cover the shaft. Does look like a 5 ton axle or something

For now I'm not gonna make big mods just ones to help make a little improvement on it. Whwn it comes back im thinking a motor/esc upgrade and maybe some scx10 shocks. Maybe try and find some driveshafts that are heavier duty.

So a dremel and sanding drum smoothed the shocks out. Springy but smooth. Can't do alot with shocks without oil but at least they dont stick anymore. Now to try and smooth out the center differential. Seems to roll with more friction than the others.

It'll be smooth for the next tester!

If anyone signs up. Need to go through the diffs still. The center one has lots of resistance.

Grandson and I took it out in the yard for a quick test last night and its amazing how much difference it made with the shocks actually working. Lot smoother action but could still use some oil filled shocks.

No company tonight so I'm getting ready to tear the center diff apart and see why it has so much friction. I will be taking it out tomorrow and hope to be making another video.

After putting some grease on all the bushings made a big difference. Still not perfect but lots better. After doing one diff looks like doing the other 2 is probably needed. Bearings would be a big help but want to leave this stock unless something breaks.

So I have 4 packs through this and things just keep getting smoother. Took the kids to the lake and wish I'd taken it with us.

Got the rear axle done aat lunch today. Getting a little better. This one had a different grease in it than the middle one. Weird. Getting smoother so one more to go. These diffs still have more fricion than I'm used to but maybe some more time on them they'll lossen up a little more.

Thinking about gluing the tires. The beadlocks are not holding them from slipping.

Before you use CA and make a permanent bond, would a water based rubber cement hold them well enough and allow you to later remove and replace?

Never tried that just figured 4 dots inside and 4 outside would hold them on. They are an odd size and style so not worried so much about changing anything later.

Might as well fully glue them in that case.
