My review of the HG P601 from GearBest.com
Let me first start by saying. Robert a gearbest.com rep and gearbest.com themselves have apologised for the mess my order became. They refunded my money for the HG P 401 I ordered. I must also say I'm not sure how as I am still scratching my head. The dhl tracking I received Sunday night from Robert said they shipped the p601 Saturday and would be here Thursday the 20th (just happens to be my birthday) lol. Fact. Well guess what showed up today? Well in my hands is the new HG P601. I finally decided to open it tonight as I was waiting for my camera man Hunter. He's my 12 yr old grandson. Well he'll be over tomorrow for the test drive.
So here's my initial thoughts. I will be nothing but honest hoping not to offend but hoping to offer ideas for improvements.
Shipping 9 out of 10
Packaging 7 out of 10
Actual truck box and packaging. 9 out of 10
Assembly of truck 8 out of 10. ( esc was stuck to motor and gear mesh to tight to run and not worry about ruining something)

Overall looks good. I was impressed that the lipo was spot on balance wise when i checked it and the steering trim was dead center. May be small things but definitely show attn to detail at assembly.
Body has clear sheeting on it for paint over spray wow that's awesome. Just gotta peel it off and it'll be perfect. This one came with a eu charger so my trusty old ac6 is pulling away at 1.5 amps. Being the anal guy I am I am going to clean the plastic covering off the body and apply decals before the trial run. Overall this looks good.

So I did not make a unboxing video I took some pics to show as I went. I guess I was in to much of a hurry to get to the meat and potatoes of it. Video is uploading of first run and second short vid of after run. I have to admit that I was very impressed to be honest. I thought it went very well.

So I am going to run this until the end of the month. At that time I am going to pass the P601 onto another rctech member with a few mods done to it. All I ask is view the video first and send me a pm if your interested. Second request is that you make a video of how it is as received and runs. Then pass it to another member to do the same. I would like to see this passed along many times to finally receive it back so I could do a final review.
