I think some motors tell you the recommended FDR for the car...does this have one?
Thanks for the info. Not sure about the spec sheet yet, I didn't get the motor yet. Should have it any day now. I was not even in the market for one, but I bought it used that about 20 minutes on it for $11, so I figure I try it out.

What sort of money are these cars worth second hand ?

I've got a shelf queen thats been only run a few times with every upgrade possible. The only origional parts are the cogs on the end of the centre layshaft and the rear body posts.

Its had a fortune spent on it, but I'm thinking its probably too good just to sit on the shelf and get dusty. I race a TRF TA05ms so don't need another racer.

Its got:

Full 3racing Carbon Chassis
Droop adjustable front and rear wishbones ( TT01E )
Adjustable upper front and rear wishbones
Front and rear alloy hubs ( rear 2deg )
Fully ball raced
Titanium centre drive cups
Alloy centre shaft
Tamiya steering set + adjustable tie rods
Titanium universal drive shafts
Front tamiya one way diff
Tamiya ball diff rear
Delrin spur gear
Front and rear tamiya stabalisers
Alloy hex drive caps
Alloy servo mounts
Tamiya TRF Blue Shocks

I'm sure theres many other parts, I just can't remember them. It was kind of an addiction to keep modding and now I've got every part replaced its too nice to get dirty and just sits on the shelf ?!!

Any ideas of value ? I would add up all the reciepts but I'd probably cry at the total

Depending on the condition it should be worth anywhere from $100-$190

That's a lot of parts in there... I'd like to get my hands on that

I'm from the sunny Isle of Wight, England. Still hungover from a rather heavy stag doo last night

Heres my TT01 - Only run once since the chassis was added.

I have other TT01 cars that I use for bashing and car park entertainment so this one gets to sit on the shelf.

For proper racing I prefer to use my TA05ms pictured below:

Default aluminium outdrives

I'm looking for some aluminium outdrives for my TT01. Is this set any good, or does anyone know of something better ?

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...th=595_744_708

Thanks for your help,

If your running a brushless, no, i wouldnt bother because the alloy would just wear down way to quick. i would suggest steel outdrives, much stonger.

I run a brushless, 7.5, & ive gone through 2 sets of alloy prop shaft joints, 2 alloy prop shafts, 1 pair of tobee craft outdrives & i even managed to snap 1 pair of tobee craft universal joints! I now run tamiya universal joints, tamiya steel outdrives, & im about to purchase GPM titanium prop joints & a carbon prop shaft.

If you run those, you will find that the steel pins in the dogbones will wear them away them very quickly.
Check out the way that the TRF 416 etc have a plastic protector around the steel pin to protect the aluminium.

I would suggest go the universal path, they use steel cups, and you can get aluminium dogbones for the rear.

I'm going to run them with Hot Racing Universals, will they be OK, or will they wear out. I'm not using a brushless, just either a 23T or a 19T double.

I installed the 58 spur and 24 pinion in my TT-01 tub chassis car and it was so much faster in the silver can spec class that we run here in Portland.

The only bummer was that I managed to bend the aluminum steering knuckle that I have from 3Racing. I dont know how this happened in such a slow class. =(

24/58 will go faster than 25/55 in a 23T?

Will the carbon fiber top deck improve in car handling while racing?
