hi i am hoping you can give me a bit of advice i will first give you my charge discharge routing.
Charge at 6 amps on protrak, race, leave till next meet, place on spintec batt manager on arrival at the track, place on novak smart tray and discharge to 0.3v per cell b4 race then charge immediately. My problem is that im looking at the teamwave tray but i still want to keep using my spintec also. However after discharging on my spintec and then putting them on the novak tray set to 0.6v all lights go out immediately (or within a few seconds) so if i were to use the team wave tray with a minimum cut off of 0.7v per cell it would have no effect as the voltage would already be below that after using the spintec.
Can you please advise if my thinking is correct as i very much like the look of the teamwave tray but the cut off really appears to high for my routine. I currently use GP3700 but am soon switching to IB 3800 or 4200 which i have heard do not like to be taken as low as the GPs which i hope will not make my spintec of no value.

Thanks in advance

hi, the problem is with the spintec. it draws out so much of the energy that any load will cause it to drop below 5.4v (0.9v) and has been tested that it will only function on the smart tray if you set it to 0.3v. (hence why it led lots of people give false comments that it gave extra capacity..... well of course if you take more out, you will be able to put more back in, but it doesnt change the physical capabilities of the cell)

anyway to answer your question.... even after i put it on the smart tray, then i use the teamwave, and set it to the lowest and slowest equlize setting, it still dischargers for a few minutes.

my advice is to pull the spintec off at around 6.9volts. and then equilize, coz if you leave it on the spintec draw to 5.4v, the cells will never be able to be equlized by your novak smart tray.

ok thanks but will this still allow the spintec to condition the cells as it is supposed to? Also i know i will sometimes forget to remove them so i can see myself not getting the full use from the teamwave

the best way i found is to discharge after the race on my nosram stealth charger. i then place on the lightning & use setting XDL5 to discharge & equalise to 0.85 per cell.

yeah thats a spintec issue not a teamwave issue. once the voltage reaches around 7.0v on the spintec over 95% of the energy is already taken out anyway.

i tested it today anyway. i let the spintec finish completly. then put it on teamwave with the lowest disch rate setting (#9), it took about 5 seconds to go to 0.9, so really its not equlizing coz its just going from the 1.2v it bouces back to after taking off spintec and going to 0.9v.

spintec does what teamwave does (by allowing the cells bounce back to 1.2v and then pulling energy out of them), but can only do it to a pack in series.

OR teamwave basically does what spintec does, but does it to individual cells.

Shipping will probably be free world wide. It was free to the US. After they started selling it at retail price they made the shipping free so its still a decent deal.

V12 - We have them in stock (the Netherlands), and would be happy to ship to shops in Germany.

Is there a manual available for download somewhere?
Sometimes there is additional information in the manual.
So like to read before purchase if possible.

We have Spintec, Tekin, SMC and Xenon, check www.rc-connect.nl.

I will try to make a scan of the Team Wave manual soon.
