Default Tamiya TCS

I am interested in running in the TCS this year and I would like to know, from those of you who have participated what car / class did /do you run?

What is the best class / car for a rookie.
I have run a M03L and am not interested in that class.

The car that interested me the most is the TT01. Is the TT01 competitive out of the box stock or does it require $100's in hop-ups??

Thanks for youe time

PS what you got that is TCS legal for sale?

I raced in TCS for several years back around '98-02. It is an awesome race..they really put on great a event!

I would say either Spec sedan-GT3 or Mini, although mini can be pretty competitive.

As far as cars go...you can pick up pretty pimped out TA04 for well under $200. I personally run a TA05..and I have a 415MSX coming soon. I plan on getting to at least 1 TCS race if not more this '06 season.

Buy TT-01R, NSX or Nissan body, TRF damper springs, Tamiya Super Slick tires, and you are set !

I don't believe the TT-01R is legal for TCS Spec class unless they changed the rules.

The TT-01 can be very competitve in spec class with only bearings. Oil filled shocks help a bit, but not need on these cars really.

TT-01 is good for a starter. Just but the bearing set for it as a start.
You may buy the TRF shocks, but as my experience, you need a precise oil-spring-piston setting for it unless the handling won't be better then standard shocks.
Other options may follow according to the rules later.
