Hmm I was told of the Sakura too, will go and take a look.

But as for TB03,wouldn't is be better if I go for TB04 instead since it's the improved version of TB03?

The 3 racing, and the spec r cars (both essentially the same category of low cost tc) are good, but with exposed belts need a little more care when driving.

The tb04 is my opinion isn't any better over the tb03. It has a funky motor mount with spacers and such. This helps to eliminate torque steer but it also adds a lot of extra moving gears and all this assembly adds weight. It is also quite a bit more money than a tb03.

If you are looking at the pro kits, the tb04 pro is a good car and good value but in the standard chassis that comes with a body the tb03 is a better value.

I am currently driving a tb04 and have owned a tb03

I prefer the tb04 because
-It comes with sealed gear diffs, the tb04 has plastic bladed ball diffs that have to be upgraded to aluminium right away
-The tb04 steering feels better, must be a combination of the revised steering system, having the motor closer to the center and perpendicular to the drive shaft.
-The tb04 has a lipo friendly battery compartment
-The tb03 is discontinued, so finding some parts and upgrades can be hard.

However, the tb03 is lighter than the tb04 and is easier to gear for high turn motors

Guys, this is going off topic quickly. For a first car, the tt02 is fun, simple, and once you learn more about it, you can upgrade it or get a TB03/04 later on.

Look at what company has good part support around where you live, i got 2 Tamiya kits for my children to play with, and i don't regret it at all, everyone said "get something better!" but in the end, you want to have fun and play, and the TT02 with a body + bearings and oil shocks is a good baseline to start with, and won't break the bank. I think it even comes with a motor and ESC so you can play almost right out of the box.

For a starting pilot a TT-02 is a good chassis for starting.
It definately takes some time to be able to use it's potential, once your there you can upgrade the chassis to a higher level (Like me&Qatmix did) instead of buying another car/spares.
It sure gives a lot more satisfaction when winning a duel with just a TT-02 then with a more expensive car.
It's correct that a TB-03,TB-04, TA05 or TA06 (or what other cars that are on the market) is better but it will take a lot more knolledge to get the cars setup correrctly.
That's just the positive side of a TT-02 car, it's easy and simple to assemble correctly and you will save some money at the start.
