Finally arrived home today.
The days were long and hot and tiring, but still great fun.
The grip was strange, the asphalt has no traction at all, it's all down to the sugar water, so it might suite some of the US drivers a bit more as I believe their tracks are more commonly sugar watered.
The Ride tyres last forever, after 5 runs I have a set were you can still faintly see the seem in the middle.
Problem most of us encountered at some point were cracked wheels, But after speaking to Uwe Rheinard after 1 round of quali about a cracked wheel, he gave me another pair for nothing!
The tyre is very 'square' in profile so I think you have to get your camber gains etc just right or the car is tail happy. This is something I never mastered so I never truly had a good car to drive.
But despite this, everyone involved love it and we're considering doing a couple more rounds next year.

I've noticed that too with the REX tyres. Very square, and slightly smaller OD than the RE series (LT inner or normal)

You definitely can't just whack them on - ride height and camber link needs adjustment for sure.

First three are panorama's of the main track and upstairs restaurant area

Indoor asphalt track and main pitting area. Where we're pitting is normally used for an off road track

Xray's trophy cabinet in the restaurant area

The dedicated car cleaning rooms, they have one indoor, one outside!

My own personal chaos

I've found out that I am going to be in the states for work the week before the Worlds. I might change my return flight to come down and take a look.

It's certainly going to be interesting to see how an IFMAR event compares to the ETS

Haha, I won't, I've already been warned. Couldn't get my previous post in 'sarcasm' font
