Default 3 kits, 3 motor/esc combos. WHICH?

Hi all,

I am somewhat new to RC cars, other than a Nitro RCX and A-Tech, I've never had a serious RC car before. I think I kind of do now... I bought:

1. Tamiya TB-03
2. Sakura XI SPort
3. Team Assoc. TC4

#3 above I feel like is my official entree into the serious hobbyist world..

I also have:

1. Speed Passion 13.5T with Speed Passion ESC Reventon S
2. Speed Passion 17.5T with Speed Passion ESC Reventon R
3. Aeolian 8.5T with some esc that it's soldered into

My question is, given the Sakura is a belt drive and with the characteristics unique to the TB-03 (shaft) vs. the TC4 (shaft), which motor and esc combo should I put on each of these cars? Is the 8.5T a natural fit for one of the shaft driven cars vs. the belt driven one?

Thank you

Put the 8.5t system in the sakura xi sport because shaft drive cars sometime exhibit torque steer when used with low turn motors.

That leaves you with the tb03 and tc4 and the 17.5 and 13.5. What I would do now is look at which car can be geared low enough for 17.5t and give it that motor. If they both can be geared low, maybe try seeing which is easier to drive with the 13.5t and go from there

Not for a long time, but yes, ultimately I want to race the TC4 or TB-03 in a simple, rookie, stock class.

Thank you! I'll put the 8.5T on the belt drive... then I'll put the 17.5T on the TC4 since that's the car I'm most likely to start racing in a simple 17.5T blinkie class.
