Looking good. I would love to put a bunch of these together on a grid just for the pictures.

With a bit of trimming and new holes tamiya body will fit no problems
Which particular Tamiya body is that?
...i'd like to pick one up..
thanks for sharing.

The F1 class at the USVTA Southern Nationals this weekend was dominated by Xray X1s. I am not positive, but I believe that the A-main consisted of 7 Xray X1s, two Tamiyas, and one CRC WTF1.
I would LOVE to see someone share their setup for the X1 for this race.

I know mine is kit set up with Ride Height. frt3.3; mid 3.0-3.2; rear 3.3. Caster 6*. Everything else is Kit setup. SXT full rear tire and about 1/4 inside frt tire. TCS tires as suggested here on this forum. Also moved rear wing forward of rear brace. We were able to run Stock kit X-ray wings at this event which for me was good as thats all I had. I ran the High down force one. I dint even try the low. I did try no sauce on frt tires. That didn't work for me as the car pushed on entry and exit in corners.

There was some cars that ran a 25.5 combo. that were very fast on this layout. and also think the one was in the top 3 qualified. I ran 21.5 and qual 6th finishing fourth. This was my 1st race ever with the car and at the start of the event my fourth time out driving it. I had a blast. Looking forward to the next outing and racing F1 event.

Thank you for sharing. I was driving the Tamiya F104X1 with the Martini livery. I qualified 10th and finished 10th. I was running 21.5. Sauced inner 1/2 of the front and all of the rear. TCS tires on Exotek +3mm wheels. I had my Xray with me, but didn't know anything about the setup, so I never got it out of the bag. (Now I feel REALLY stupid!)

Mine was pretty much the stock carpet set up. 4mm ride height. Stock front and side springs. 9 degrees caster with 1.5 negative camber in the front. I did have a 2.4 spring on the shock and I had switched to a Tamiya dampener tube with 50 k lube in it. Tamiya wing up front with the stock rear wing witch was moved up on the rear. TCS tires, sauced the full rear and three fourths on the front. I never cleaned the tires until we waited for the main to start and re sauced, which was a big mistake. Protoform 13 body. Team Scream 25.5 motor geared 98/38 which was a rocket for sure. I really think going to a 25.5 motor in F1 is the way to go. Looking forward to the Halloween Classic in two weeks.

I am REALLY kicking myself now! I had a Schuur Speed 25.5 with me, too!
Thanks for sharing, Mackin.
