I know it was mentioned previously, but in case anybody is still wondering, the overflow pits will be heated this year. We'll have a TV setup with audio/video from the track as well.

For those of you that haven't been here before, while the track itself is a good size, we have limited pit space. It's hard to get more than 50 people in the pits that are trackside. Last year we rented out the space next door for overflow pits and it worked out really well. Because of the way things are laid out, it's actually about the same distance (or shorter) walk from the overflow pits to the drivers stand than the trackside pits. It works out pretty well. It's the only way we can make a race this size work, otherwise we'd be cutting off signups right about now.

There was plenty of hot air in there last year, even without the heater working.

Haha very true Howard.

On another note and I know this has been mentioned previously, but if you're planning on attending try to make it for the Thursday club race. It's super laid back and a great chance to race with the pros in a club race atmosphere.

Sal,

No cutoff for entries, only for t-shirts. You can sign up before or at the race. We prefer that people sign up sooner since it helps us plan for chairs and tables though. You thinking about making the trip out? Looks like it's gonna be a good one!

Yes I'm trying to get there just trying to get things figured out with work .. Airfare is cheap right now so I didn't want to purchase it and then get shut out due to entries being filled ...

For those of you considering this race, we've mentioned it before, but we try to give you as much track time as possible. The track is open all day Thursday with the super fun super club race at 6:30PM and then more practice afterwards. And then ALL day Friday as well.

By the time quals start on Saturday, grip is already ridiculously high.

It's no fun spending a pile of cash to only run your car a few times. It's always been our goal to keep that from happening. We've done a good job of it so far, including last year with our highest number of entries.

We learned from last year, when practice got a little crazy on Friday, and will probably do something to keep slow cars and fast cars from being on the track for practice at the same time.

In case it hasn't been mentioned already, 5280 Raceway uses and RC4 decoder, so you'll need a genuine AMB transponder or a clone that's been updated to work with RC4.

awesome!

now that nats is over, its ok for everyone to sign up.

come out and see if you have what it takes to beat the Stock touring national champion at his home track.

Congrats to 5280 racer Kyle Klingforth on a dominating performance at nats.
