I just installed a Serpent 64p 92t spur on the car and it went on smoothly like the Xray gear. However, the Serpent gear is not perfectly round and there is a tighter spot against the pinion. disappointed in the quality… hopefully the panaracing gears will be better...

both cars performed great last night.
I race one in blink stock and the other in VTA type class.
Until the 17.5t motor blew up in the main, the car performed to the best of my capabilities.
The 25.5t Novak class is what I focus on the most and it was another fun night with only several minor taps on the pipes.

Shock/Damper Piston Vertical Play
Both my Mi5 and D06 have what has to be intentional vertical play in the piston on the shock shaft. The piston can slide up and down on the shaft a small amount. I have read that some racers shim this play out of both the Mi5 and D06 but it seems to be intentional so I'm questioning whether it should be removed or not? With tolerances being so tightly controlled on the Mi5 and D06 (the D05/Ghost shocks do not have this play) I must assume it was designed this way and not an oversite?

Edit: I forgot about moving the front shock bottoms to the inner hole on the suspension arms to make clearance front the wheels. The car still handles good but there is little more chassis roll now.
I remembered another thing. I have ae 37.5 wt oil in the shocks which is like 475cst.
BTW, I use antennae posts on both cars and they touch the belt. I had to dremel them out.

Guys is it ok to flip the rear arms? My left rear outside shock hole stripped on my D05, so I flipped the arm over. Building D06 I see you suppose to keep the dots in the rear.

Everything same except for rear toe. I have e25 block on right now but will try a e15 block. Every little bit helps. Less toe= more speed.

STPN: if you buy the kit the only option you may want to start with is a hard foam bumper, and (2) sets ea of the front and rear ride height shims, you may want to run .5mm all the way around, also a fan mount is a great idea. that's pretty much what we have sent the guys out with at our shop.... just waiting for the holidays to finish and we should receive our next order of the stuff, the ice storms back east aren't helping.
Jmoneym: you can flip the arms but you may find the lower shock mounts are in slightly different locations
