7.00 sounds like you are gearing way too tall...

Try gearing it at 8.00 and see how that works. If the motor is still getting hot, go down more teeth.

Check with your fellow racers for gearing advice for your motor and track - but don't forget to check your car for mechanical resistance or drag. Is there possibly something rubbing or too tight? It may also be the brush compound or springs.

Hello,

I read to use the HT on big tracks and the HS on small tracks is this normal???
SLOTS nothing is resistancing or dragging, when i put the pion away and push the car it is like a train. .Every battery new brushes that cost allot fore me, im just a student with a low budget. I use sprint brushes standard springs on the HARA and the timing 4mm.

The best advice is to ask what other guys are running for gearing... but 7.00 sounds way too tall to me. Do you not find the car slow out of corners and that other cars pull away from you until the end of the straights when you finally catch up?

The sprint brushes won't last you long anyways... the enduros will save you money, but at the cost of some performance.
