Are you saying for 2014, the finals day of the TC event will now be Sunday? That would massively change travel plans for people I think!
According to IFMAR's website, the event starts Monday 6th, and ends Sunday 12th, So it should be safe to assume you're correct.

2300 mile drive... I doubt it!

This should be the biggest event of the year for these classes, and yet there seems to be limited information available. It might seem like a long way off, but an event of this type represents a massive undertaking at considerable cost for the majority of competitors.

Where can we stay for the 1/12 event?
On which days will the event(s) actually run?

As for the idea of having the opening ceremony in Kissimmee and then driving to the other side of Florida to actually race... who on earth thought that would be a good idea?! If I was American I would want to fly into Tampa, race 1/12, drive to Kissimmee, race touring car, and then fly home from Orlando...

I thought the Sunday was always reserved for a makeup day in case of rain?

Mark I posted that same suggestion more than a month ago on Facebook
With airport code as for opening ceremony that's Ifmar call on the idea but still working with them to make it sensible

Any chance that you guys can use Youtube for the event coverage like the ETS races? It's the best I've ever seen for R/C races.

I really wish the schedule was pushed forward a day so I wouldn't have to take a second Monday off of work. I can't be the only one who wishes that the 12th was a travel day.

I agree...why not leverage the Sunday before and then leave the sunday after as a travel day.

It was requested and denied quickly on the travel day since the tracks are only separated less than 2 hrs away that was the major reason it was denied

That's a shame.

The free streams on LiveRC aren't worth watching and the advertising is infuriating.

You'd hope it could have been covered for free and in high quality like the ETS races. More people watching it and enjoying it can only be positive.

Missed opportunity by IFMAR.
