Question: Why so few? Lack of interest? The OffRoad worlds last year had 3 times as many from the ROAR bloc.

I used to race with this guy back in 2007, watching him wheel his mod 12th scale was incredible.

It might not be a bad idea if nobody was able to use them other than at the Worlds and that the drivers who tested them were not Worlds participants. But when the company lists Rheinard and Groskamp as team drivers, and the fact there is no way to police availability, I wonder how fair keeping tires out of the hands of racers could be.
The fairest thing to do would be to for everyone to have access to them.

But when the company lists Rheinard and Groskamp as team drivers, and the fact there is no way to police availability, I wonder how fair keeping tires out of the hands of racers could be.

fordam hobbies/hot race tires usa is one of the larger hobby stores in the nyc area. i don't think availability will be an issue now that there is sudden demand. think about it -- if it isn't Solaris or Sweeps --- no one is racing them in the USA...

I assure you that the tires will be available for public use very soon, and will also be available at local dealers. The test for the worlds proved that based off of performance, wear, and durability our tire was the top candidate in all aspects. I think the public will be happy with how our product performs in their own cars and that tire performance will not be an issue at the upcoming worlds.

Expect Tires to be available for the public within the next 2 weeks. http://www.hotracetyresusa.com will then be updated and listed with them in stock. That gives plenty of time before the worlds for drivers to get use to them and allow for a "level" playing field at the upcoming event. Announcements regarding availability will be made on both here and our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HotRaceTyresUsa as soon as stock is here and ready to ship.

We lost 2 weeks due to other submissions & the bloc voting for the 1/12th tyre rule in place
We got the okay to press release it mid afternoon & superiorhobbies placed the order since they will be the officiall On site hobbie store for Pre worlds & Worlds
Now I will work quickly to get everyone news as fast as I can
Hot Race Tyres now produce 1/12 tyres...
